Velvrae, the brat

Born into the shadowed opulence of her family’s grand manor deep in the Underdark, she grew up surrounded by the wealth, power, and ruthless ambition that define drow nobility. Her parents, both influential figures in their house, were prominent players in the treacherous games of politics and loyalty to Lolth. Lavish galas and brutal intrigues filled her home, teaching her from a young age that power and appearance were everything.

However, despite the grandeur, she was shielded from the true dangers of the Underdark by her privileged upbringing. Her parents indulged her whims, either to curry her favor as the heir to their ambitions or simply to keep her occupied. Servants scurried to meet her demands, tutors were dismissed at her slightest tantrum, and rivals were rarely allowed near her without her parents’ careful supervision. This overindulgence left her sheltered and woefully unprepared for the actual complexities of drow society, though she refuses to admit it.
